Break Fast

Quick, easy and healthy breakfast ideas to brighten up your day

They always say skipping breakfast is bad for you, so here are a few breakfast ideas that are quick, easy, and healthy. These ideas can help you efficiently plan your meals so you can eat breakfast regularly.

First off we have a vamped-up version of plain old breakfast toast. You’re going to need bread, banana, chia seeds, and peanut butter.  Cut your banana into slices then toast your piece of bread.  Spread your peanut butter onto your toast, then lay on your banana slices and top with a sprinkle of chia seeds.  These are packed with vitamins and minerals.  Also, this breakfast has six times more calcium then a glass of milk.

Next, try a berry yogurt smoothie. Grab some berries and a banana, Greek yogurt, orange juice, and honey if you like.  Start by tossing a cup of berries in the blender.  Next throw in one banana, half a cup of yogurt, a fourth cup of orange juice, and one teaspoon of honey if you would like.  Blend together and pour into a baggie and place in the freezer.  In the morning, all you need to do is blend and pour into a cup.

How does a chocolate breakfast bowl sound? All you need is granola, chocolate, fruit, and milk.  It’s like cereal. Pour it into a bowl with your granola and milk.  Next, toss in your chopped chocolate and fruit, such as blueberries, strawberries, and bananas.

Open-face breakfast sandwich anyone? All it is, is toast, avocado, and egg.  Place your bread in the toaster, cook an over hard or over easy egg, and smash an avocado.  Once everything is done grab your toast, spread avocado on it, and place your egg on top, you can add pepper to taste if you like.

Here’s a fun twist on Eggo waffles. Toast the waffles, then spread peanut butter and jelly, as if you are making a sandwich, then press together and you’re done.

Another option is a yogurt granola bowl. Get a bowl pour in your yogurt then add berries and granola then stir all together and its ready.

Next up banana pops! You’ll need bananas, peanut butter, granola, and skewers.  Take a plate and place a piece of cling wrap, foil, or parchment paper.  Take your bananas and cut in half, place on one of the skewers. Take the bananas and dip in the peanut butter, sprinkle granola on top.  Place on the plate and put them in the freezer overnight.  In the morning, just grab and go.

Muffins? Grab a mug and toss in a fourth cup of oats, one egg, a handful of berries, and a sprinkle of brown sugar.  Stir until evenly mixed.  Pop in the microwave for one minute, then microwave for 30 seconds until firm.

Who doesn’t love breakfast hash. You will need tater tots, eggs, and sausage.  Cook everything and scramble the eggs.  Then chop everything (even the eggs).  Toss in a bowl and mix for some hearty hash.

Last but not least pancake strips. You will need pancake mix and bacon.  Cook the bacon, and when it’s almost done pour some pancake mix right over the top of a strip of bacon.  Wait till the pancake is done then you have a pancake strip with bacon.
